Wow, who would have thought a tiny little tick could rob me of two Olympics and 4 years of my life. If I wasn't such a hard ass all the time maybe I would have gotten help when I pulled the blood sucker off me! Well, I didn't really know what Lyme Disease was.
All I've ever
wanted to do since I was a little country scrub was to run fast. No,
this story isn't like Forrest Gump, but I guess there are a few
similarities. Born with hip dysplasia ( a medical condition where a
baby's hip is born out of socket), I did have to wear some strange
contraptions for the early part of my childhood and I've been
running ever since my leg "got straighten out." Getting Lyme forced
me to finally take a break from running.
I think
things DO happen for a reason, even though my story is completely
whacky, sometimes sad, often hilarious, and 100% true. What I
discovered while on my "quest for answers" has changed my personal
health beyond anything it could have been BEFORE I had Lyme Disease.
It became a HUGE opportunity to get things right and do a little
digging on why so many people are starting to get autoimmune
disorders and CANCER. Yes, I've researched, experimented on myself,
hired and fired doctors left and right, but you do what you have to
do when your doctors think "you're screwed."
This book is
not just a book, it's an opportunity for a new life for not only
those who are sick, but those who will eventually become sick during
their lifetime, and a large portion of it is what your doctor
doesn't know. This book is for 100% of those who are already ill
and 94% of the general population. Wonder why? Well, I guess
you'll have to read the book!
I'm back to
running and racing again and I should say for the record, I do think
a “real” woman will break
